Add - on Course

Globalisation of education and economy has led to a reorientation of the policies and programmes by the Academic Regulators of our country to make the current Indian Higher Education System more relevant and career-oriented with focus on quality and excellence. It is envisaged that professionally qualified graduates with a sound knowledge of their core disciplines and expertise in a concerned skill will have more openings in service, industry and self-employment sectors. Demand and scope for such professionally trained graduates are visible in the applied fields of almost all basic/core disciplines and faculties in the current changing global scenario and is likely to increase in the future.

The objective of Add-on courses is to ensure that graduates who pass out after completing these courses would have knowledge, skills and aptitude for gainful employment in the wage sector in general and also encourage entrepreneurship and turn our next generation from job seekers to job-creators.

To meet this challenge Acharya Prafulla Chandra College has started offering short-term skill enhancing add-on courses that not only have utility for job, self-employment but also lead to a holistic growth and empowerment of the students. The courses range from computer skills to self-defence for women. Our aim is to create a technologically superior and ethically strong human resource for the nation who may go on to become global leaders by making a difference to the world at large.
